Almost 30 companies supported by the Human Technology Foundation launch the “Agentic AI and Work” Coalition
Agentic AI marks a turning point. While generative AI has enabled employees to save time and work more efficiently, making them both users and beneficiaries of the technology, agentic AI is reshaping the landscape. The growing autonomy of these systems makes it possible to automate entire processes, no longer at the request of individual operators, but as part of a planned transformation.
In an increasingly competitive global environment, this evolution is accompanied by profound changes to jobs: work content and conditions, required skills, and performance metrics. Recent graduates, in particular, are facing new challenges in securing entry-level positions in fields such as marketing, communications, auditing, and legal services, as AI takes on an increasing share of repetitive tasks.
In response, the Human Technology Foundation is bringing together a Coalition of business leaders committed to a strong conviction: the development of agentic AI is a powerful driver of performance, productivity, and innovation, but it also represents a major social challenge. The transition toward these technologies must be anticipated, structured, and supported to ensure it becomes a catalyst for sustainable and inclusive value creation.
A Coalition to Understand, Act, and Support
The “Agentic AI and Work” Coalition aims to bring together committed companies around three strategic objectives:
The initiative is intended to be supported by public institutions, including France Travail, the French Ministry of Labour, and the International Labour Organization (ILO).
“Some occupations are becoming less viable, that is a fact. Others are undoubtedly emerging, and it is our responsibility to help define what they will look like. We must therefore support a large number of people as they transition from what is familiar to what remains uncertain. Providing that guidance and support is a responsible way to implement agentic AI while keeping people at the center of the transformation.” Éric Salobir, President of the Human Technology Foundation.
A Practical Roadmap
The Coalition has established a concrete action plan structured around several phases:
This work will draw on the collective expertise of the Human Technology Foundation and on the multi-stakeholder dialogue it facilitates with its partners, including businesses, trade unions, research institutions, and international organizations.
Because agentic AI is not only a challenge. It can also pave the way for value-creating transformations in the workplace through improved quality, stronger customer retention, the development of new business models, and the reshoring to Europe of activities that were previously outsourced. The Coalition aims to make training a driver of professional dignity and to provide public decision-makers with practical solutions to support workforce transitions.
